Please provide a detailed work description:
Julie developed and facilitated an online and in-person professional development institute attended by 60 High School biology teachers from 37 states over 2 summers. • Researched, designed and wrote ocean themed curricula consisting of 365 free online and classroom activities, and videos with all of their media assets for grades K-12 that adhere to National Standards as well as Ocean Literacy principles. • Identified educational partners, conferences and schools to promote the use of instructional materials. • Management responsibilities included managing budgets, managing staff, timelines, hiring, contract drafting, monitoring of all deliverables, media acquisitions and licensing, writing and editing. • Collaborated in the development of an online Massive Open Online Course. • Designed and wrote two separate professional development experiences with oceans content that address best pedagogical practices for using media in the classroom and for addressing student misconceptions. • Managed the Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship Program including selection process, pre-trip workshop, workshop and expedition travel logistics, accompanied teachers on expedition, continued content support post expedition. • Project managed the editing and approval process of four 80 page environmentally themed professional development books that have been adapted by the state of California to train teachers about EEI. • Presented at multiple conferences including NAAEE, NSTA, NMEA, DC PD days, Google International Teachers Institute in London about National Geographic Education’s geoliteracy goals and website assets.
