Professional Biography:
Prior to joining The Department of Dine Education, Barbara served as Navajo Language & Culture Teacher at Magdalena Public School. Barbara attended Prescott College where she studied Bilingual Education and earned a Masters degree in 2006. She also attended University of New Mexico where she studied Elementary Education & Native American Studies and earned a Bachelors degree in 1987. Barbara's core expertise includes reading and writing the Navajo language, artistry in the fields of painting, ceramics, beadwork, quilting, drawing and and silversmithing..
Personal Biography:
In her personal time, Barbara enjoys Reading, watching sports, traveling, attending traditional ceremonies of many tribes, photography and collecting artwork.
